What a busy first five days back we have had in primary 1/2. On Monday afternoon we went outside on a hunt for some pretty leaves and conkers to add to our autumn wreaths. The children started learning about 2D and 3D shape, this has involved lots of discussion around hunting for shapes in our environment. We went on a shape hunt outside and then on Thursday we built 2D and 3D shapes outside using sticks and play-dough. The children also made collage pumpkins using 2D shapes cut from tissue paper. We had great fun carving our own pumpkins on Wednesday afternoon! We have written about Halloween, did some Halloween addition and subtraction along with lots of Halloween crafts! I hope the boys and girls have a great weekend and have fun celebrating, albeit a bit different this year.
