It has been a very busy and happy week in P1. We have been outside frequently and have enjoyed lots of fun learning activities about Hallowe’en. The children helped to carve our class pumpkin and enjoyed using their senses to describe how the pumpkin smelt, looked and felt. The pumpkin art the children created is really effective! They have been busy learning about more and less in maths and today went on a Hallowe’en scavenger hunt and used tally marks to record what they found. Lots of fun was had trying to match objects in the garden to different colours and we ended the week by enjoying the movie version of a favourite story, Room on the Broom. I hope everyone has a really happy and safe Hallowe’en weekend.
