The children in Primary 1 have been busy, in the classroom and outdoors, showing what they know about numbers. They have been sorting and ordering numbers and counting in many different ways. There is a huge amount of talking about number going on and the learning is fantastic. We have heard things like:
“I have 3; I need 2 more to make 5.”
“If there is one gap on a ten-frame it means we have 9.”
“3 groups of 6 makes 18.”
Well done Primary 1; I am so impressed by your enthusiasm for learning!
