What a busy couple of weeks Primary 4 have had!
We tried out lots of new activities for Maths week last week. Playful pennies – a game that involves strategy and forward thinking to work out how to win by making all the counters the same colour before your partner. The stick challenge where the children had to try and find sticks that would measure exactly one metre when joined up. Making symmetrical pictures using leaves they had found outside, stepping stone number bonds and times table fortune tellers to name a few. All the children participated well and enjoyed the activities.
We also took part in the Ness Book Fest which involved everyone reading for at least 20 minutes, you could have heard a pin drop the room was so quiet!
Yesterday we had our first attempt at salt painting. This involves making a pattern or picture with pva glue, covering it in glue then carefully applying watery paint. They all did a fantastic job.
Happy holidays everyone!
