We are off to a great start in primary 6/7M this session. Here are some of the things we’ve been getting up to. (Sorry no pictures due to technical difficulties – will put some up next week)
We have been looking at data handling in maths, conducting our own surveys and producing graphs of what we found. We have also been looking at reading information from the charts and what it all means.
In ICT we have been using spreadsheets to record our data and then make charts from them. We have also been looking at using computers to make simulations and why this is important.
Our IDL topic this year is WW1 and we looked at some of the factors leading up to it, with a few people taking on the roles of different countries!
Here are some quotes about this week;
“Writing was lots of fun when I can design my own character” – Will
“In PE I liked being on the benches running and having to jump over things. We had to work as a team and show leadership.” – Ella
“It was fun learning about making bar charts on the chromebooks.” – Lennon
“I liked playing Colin’s coffee to learn about simulations in ICT” – Lucia
Have a good weekend!
Mr MacDonald
